Data Privacy Statement
Polityka prywatności jest dostępna po angielsku. Wersja niemiecka pojawia się po zmianie języka na Deutsch.
We (B+L Marktdaten GmbH) collect, use and store your personal data exclusively in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act of the Federal Republic of Germany. Below we inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the data collection and use.
Data usage when visiting the website
The website of B+L Marktdaten GmbH can be visited without visitors having to provide personal information. As part of establishing and maintaining the internet connection, the following data is stored: time of page retrieval, IP address, operating system, browser type, amount of data transferred, retrieved domain and, where the website is accessed via a link, the origin as well.
Contact form
The data you send us via the contact form is used only for contact purposes. We do not pass this data on without your consent. You can request the deletion of your data at any time by e-mail to datenschutz@bl2020.com.
Newsletter
To sign up for the newsletter we need your e-mail address and your first and last name. Any further information is voluntary. The data provided is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties. You can revoke your consent at any time.
Cookies
The website of B+L Marktdaten GmbH uses cookies. These serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored in your browser. Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of the session. Persistent cookies remain until they are deleted manually.
Use and disclosure of personal data
Where the user of our website has provided personal data, we use it only to respond to inquiries and to process concluded contracts. Personal data is passed on to third parties only where this is necessary for the performance of a contract, for billing, or with the user’s express consent.
Website analytics (own system)
With your consent (category “Statistics” in the cookie settings) we analyse the use of this website with a system operated by B+L Marktdaten GmbH itself. The following data is processed: pages visited and their order, buttons and links clicked, the active time spent on each page, scroll depth, the origin of the visit (referring website, campaign parameters), language, device type, browser and operating system. For this purpose a randomly generated visitor ID (local storage) and a session ID (session storage) are stored in your browser.
From your IP address we determine the country and the organisation through whose network you access the website (e.g. your employer or internet provider). For this we use a reverse DNS lookup and the IPinfo service (IPinfo Inc., USA), to which the IP address is transmitted solely for this lookup. Only the truncated IP address is stored.
If you submit one of our forms (e.g. contact request, registration, webinar registration), we link your earlier and later visits from this browser with the details you entered (name, e-mail address, company) and, where applicable, with your customer account with us. This helps us to understand your request and to advise you in a more targeted way.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website; the IDs stored in your browser are then deleted. The data is stored on servers of B+L Marktdaten GmbH, is not passed on to third parties apart from the IP lookup described above, and is deleted automatically after 13 months.
Google Analytics 4
With your consent (category “Statistics” in the cookie settings) we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics helps us understand how our website is used, which content is in demand and how visitors find us.
The data processed includes the pages visited, the time and duration of the visit, the referring website and campaign parameters, device type, browser, operating system and language setting, as well as the approximate location (country and region) that Google derives from the IP address. The IP address is used only to determine the location and is not stored by Google. Google sets cookies for this purpose (e.g. “_ga”) containing a randomly generated identifier.
We have switched off “Google signals” and ad personalisation. We do not use the Google Analytics data for advertising purposes or remarketing, and it is not linked to any Google Ads account.
The tag is loaded only after you have given your consent; before that, no connection to Google is established. We use Google Consent Mode v2 for this: as long as no consent is given, all storage and advertising signals are set to “denied”. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and EU standard contractual clauses for this. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website. After withdrawal the Google Analytics cookies in your browser are deleted and no further data is sent to Google. The retention period in Google Analytics is set in the property settings; the data is deleted there automatically afterwards.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
With your consent (category “Marketing” in the cookie settings) we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”). It allows us to measure the success of our advertising campaigns on LinkedIn, to show visitors of our website relevant ads on LinkedIn (retargeting) and to receive aggregated statistics about the visitors of our website (e.g. industry, job function, company size). We do not receive any reports on individual persons from LinkedIn.
In doing so, LinkedIn processes, among other things, the URL visited, the referring website, your IP address, device and browser properties and the time of the visit, and sets cookies (e.g. “li_fat_id”). If you are logged in to LinkedIn, LinkedIn may associate the visit with your account. Data may be transferred to the USA; LinkedIn relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and EU standard contractual clauses for this. Further information: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website.
Use of the GBM API (gbmapi.bl2020.com)
When you use our application programming interface (API), we process technical access data with every call. The following data is processed:
- IP address, user agent and – where transmitted – the Origin/Referer header of the calling system,
- time of the call,
- the API key used (and the associated user or company account),
- the content requested
Purposes: Provision and technical operation of the API, billing for usage, ensuring IT security, and detecting and preventing misuse – in particular the unauthorised disclosure of API keys to third parties – and enforcing our Terms of Use.
Legal basis: Processing for the purposes of provision and billing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract). The processing of IP addresses, user-agent strings and origin for security and misuse detection purposes is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in securing the service and preventing use that contravenes the terms of the contract.
Retention period: This access data is stored for up to two years and is then automatically deleted.
Recipients: No data is disclosed to third parties.
You are entitled to the data subject rights set out in this privacy policy, in particular the right to object under Article 21 of the GDPR to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
